Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets
Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets is the newest flick from film extraordinaire Luc Besson, known for Le Femme Nikita and The Fifth Element. With a great lineup of actors and actresses, such as Dane Dehaan, Cara Delevingne and Clive Owen.
The film takes place in a future where aliens and humanity live together in harmony on a huge space station called Alpha. Dane Dehaan and Cara Delevingne play Valerian and Laureline, a pair of military operatives who are partners. They basically are all about saving each other and risking everything to do with what they are actually supposed to be doing in the film. The movie was considerably similar to that of Jupiter Ascending, in terms of the stunning visual effects and romance aspect of the story being absolute crap.
Other than this I found the film very entertaining, from the quirkiness of the supporting characters and the creativeness of the different types of aliens, Besson, has created, to the actual story within the film. A tale of drama and misfortune.
If you enjoy space opera films like Star Wars, then you will for sure, enjoy this film, even if you just go to see it for its stunning visuals or its quirky and crazy characters.
