Ninja Theory Releases First Screens For Enslaved

The first screens for the upcoming action title Enslaved have been released online. Announced last week, Enslaved stars Monkey, a man who lives in a post-robot apocalypse world. On the run from robots programmed to annihilate humans, he runs into a woman named Trip, who promptly fits with him a headband that will crush his skull unless he follows her orders. Their relationship is strained, to say the least.

Enslaved will reportedly featured gameplay in line with Heavenly Sword, but with a stronger focus on tactics. Monkey has a special camera that can scout ahead for enemies, as well detect weak points. If Monkey detects that a robot’s machine gun attachments are weak, for example, he can rip them off and use them for himself.

Enslaved is being developed for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with 28 Days Later writer Alex Garland handling the script. No word on a release date, but it will likely be out in late 2010. [1up]
