MotorStorm Apocalypse Gets New Date

Joystiq is reporting that the indefinite delay that struck the North American world-wide release of MotorStorm Apocalypse has become specific: Sony has announced a May 3 release date (Mighty Ape has it dated as May 5 for Kiwi gamers). The game’s launch date was shaken up in all regions in an effort to distance the racer’s eye-catching urban destruction from the recent earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Japan.

As compensation for the delay, Sony is offering up a Premier Pack DLC voucher – which enables two exclusive in-game vehicles – in “every new copy of the game.”

So unless Godzilla rises from the deep and goes all rampage over Japan, PS3 fans should be happily racing Sony’s flagship racer sooner than some expected.
