Rumors suggest that Microsoft could be readying a comeback for Project Gotham Racing. According to a “trusted source” that spoke with Develop, the platform holder is currently in talks with European developers in hopes of finding a replacement for series originator Bizarre Creations.

Bizarre whipped up the first Project Gotham Racing alongside the launch of the original Xbox back in 2001, as well as the three sequels that followed over the years. Then, shortly before the fourth PGR arrived on store shelves in 2007, Activision announced that it had purchased Bizarre and that PGR4 would be the company’s final release under Microsoft Game Studios.

Red Dead Redemption is still one of the best games released this year, and as with most games these days, it’s had it’s fair share of DLC, most of which I’ve not bothered with, mainly because whilst I loved the game, the online component really didn’t do it for me.  At heart I’m a FPS player, and if I’m going up against human opponents that’s how I roll.

With Undead Nightmare things were a little different.  For one, it was more focussed on giving players another chapter in the Red Dead world, one where we could once again saddle up as John Marston and attempt to bring good back into the world, a world now plagued by the undead.  And for two, it had zombies in it.  Mention the word zombies and I’m there.

I never really got into the original Fable and didn’t bother with part two. But with a story-line that sees you at the beginning of the industrial revolution, attempting to overthrow the ruling King and take his place, now that sounded like a bit of me.

For one, there would be guns – the absence of guns has kept me away from the RPG genre for the most part, Fallout 3 being the first game I ever really enjoyed in the genre – and secondly the setting was at a time of change, with the industrial revolution promising that this could be a little different.

Ironically, even though I had a gun, my main source of offense was to be magic, the one thing that really put me off Fable in the first place.

The game is pretty much the same as the first Fable in that to progress along the story-line you have to go on quests, fight people, animals and mysterious beings. At the same time however, you get to explore this massive open world environment, meet people, earn money, spend money, invest in real estate and hold hands.

NBA 2K11 is apparently the best NBA game there is. I’m not sure just how many NBA games there are but I’m assuming the list is pretty small. So it’s claim to fame for being the best, might not mean much, and to a non sports fan like myself, it’s going to have to work hard to impress me.

It’s been a week since Electronic Arts’ Medal of Honor reboot hit store shelves, and since then we’ve seen the critical reaction (mostly positive!) and investor reaction (maybe not quite so positive). But enough of the speculation…how has it actually sold so far? Would you believe “pretty well”?

Speaking in a segment on the Fox Business channel (via Industry Gamers), EA CEO John Riccitiello revealed Medal of Honor generated $100 million in sales during its first week of release. On top of that, EA has also disclosed that 1.5 million copies were sold during the game’s first five days.
