Warner Bros. Interactive today announced LEGO Ninjago: The Video Game for Nintendo DS, the follow-up title to LEGO Battles videogame.

Produced by TT Games and developed by Hellbent Games, LEGO Ninjago allows players to become a master of Spinjitzu, an art form in which characters spin and become tornadoes to defeat their enemies, as they restore harmony to the world.

Players will be able choose to between both good and evil in the single-player campaigns, test their skills in a variety of Battle Mode challenges, or play with family and friends in multiplayer showdowns.

EA has just announced an agreement with Valve to distribute Portal 2 in retail channels.

Portal 2 was recently named the most anticipated game of 2011 at the Spike TV Video Game Awards, and will bereleasing worldwide in April 2011. Portal 2 will challenge players with a host of fresh puzzles, devious new test chambers in never-before-seen areas of Aperture Science Labs and be reunited with GLaDOS, the occasionally murderous computer companion from the original Portal. An all-new co-operative mode will feature its own unique campaign and characters, and will force players to both act and think together.

Konami have just announced that DanceDanceRevolution New Moves will be released across Australia and New Zealand in March 2011. This marks the debut for the PlayStation 3, and utalises extended full-body movement thorough the Move controllers. New Moves is set to feature over 50 tracks, ranging from popular hits to classic dance anthems and comes with enhanced multiplayer capabilities.

New Moves comes with a new mode where you can dance using both the DDR Dance Mat controller and the Move together. Users move both their upper and lower body as they dance to match the indicators displayed on screen.  The Move controller will also be used to create on-screen visual effects.

With EA’s Medal of Honor franchise successfully rebooted, it looks like the publisher is running headlong into sequel mode. A new job listing from Danger Close, the studio formed specifically to develop the Medal of Honor reboot, reveals that it’s already working on a new “unannounced AAA first person shooter title.”

The listing is specifically for a senior gameplay engineer, and among the requirements are expert knowledge in engineering “weapons” and “vehicles,” and “Exposure to multiplayer and/or co-op development.” So unless Danger Close is already planning on developing a brand new FPS franchise (unlikely), this all looks to be pointing toward Medal of Honor 2 – or whatever the follow-up will officially be called.

Two Call of Duty rumors have spread across the web today, and they suggest the mega-successful franchise is going in two new directions: A prequel to Modern Warfare from Infinity Ward, and a new entry from Singularity developer Raven Software.

Raven Software’s involvement comes from a new job listing the studio posted (via MCV), which explains they’re looking for an FX artist “to drive the development of stunning visual effects for an established console-based, realistic, first-person military shooter.” Considering Raven Software is owned by Activision, it’s not hard to guess which established military FPS franchise they could be referring to.

EA has announced a collaboration with Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament to feature one of the most revered tournaments in golf – the Masters – in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12: The Masters. For the first time in franchise history, players will be able to step onto the hallowed grounds of Augusta National, experience the rich history and tradition of the Masters Tournament and begin their own journey to capture the most sought-after prize in professional golf – the Green Jacket.

The Masters edition will go on sale in Australia March 31 and New Zealand on April 1, and will be available on the Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with support of the PlayStation Move controller.  The Masters and five additional courses will also be included in the Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12 Collector’s Edition, developed exclusively for Sony PlayStation 3.

So the New Year is upon us, and over the course of the next twelve months a myriad of gaming pleasures await us.  But what of 2010, was not one of the best gaming years to date?  It certainly seemed like it at the time, but in a year of sequels, what game would come out on top?  We tasked three of our reviewers to come up with a game of the year for 2010.  Of course they couldn’t agree on one game, so after a month of fighting, we would like to introduce GameGuide’s Top 3 Games of 2010.
