We all knew the day would come. Those pocket 8-bit pixeled pets would evolve and hook into SkyNet.

Armed with a Playstation 3 and the Playstation Eye (thats Sonys New PS3 Camera), you can now entertain your kids for hours with a unique user interface. And maybe.. just maybe you can teach an electronic pet to take over the world.

By using the camera you can interact with your Pet on screen with a special magic card which enables the PS3 the ability to translate our physical movements onto screen. You can feed, care, play and interact with your pet from their pre-hatching  “egg” stage thru to.. well.. until it evolves and takes over the world via skynet.

Ok so maybe not the SkyNet phase, however it did look a stack of fun at Armageddon Pulp Expo in Auckland.. And it had its fair share of interested punters.

The game promises that as you interact, your pet will learn new tricks and even interact with others in the room.

So if your a parent looking for something entertaining for the kids this Christmas.. This may not be a bad choice, and you can gaurantee the folks at Sony will be developing more Playstation Eye games and features in the months to come.
