Bodycount may have missed its early 2011 release window, but it seems that Codemasters wasn’t too far off. Today the publisher announced an August launch for Bodycount and gave us a new peek into the game’s ‘splosion-packed action. As you’ll see in the video below, Bodycount is clearly about using a variety of weapons as often as possible, all the while chasing an elusive enemy known as “The Target.”

Apparently you’ll be extending the pile of bodies across Africa, Asia and “mysterious bases” in your search, but the folks at Codies won’t speak up until an upcoming community Q&A.
