Gameguide officially started in July 2009 when the Chief Editor of Filmguide (Jonathan Read aka FamousFiveNZ) & the Director of Ignition Networks, now Urbankiwi.com, (Skip Parker aka Urbankiwi) decided to split the growing number of gaming reviews away from the Filmguide website. The premise behind the Gameguide is to gather a collection of passionate kiwi gamers who are keen to give honest opinions of gaming, from a New Zealand perspective.
