Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
Uncharted is dead, long live Uncharted. When Nathan Drake decided to retire we all thought Naughty Dog would come up with something new. We all thought the amazing Uncharted series had finished on a high, having cemented it’s place in video game greatness. But no, Naughty Dog played it safe and resurrected the series with Chloe Frazer, a one-time Nathan Drake love interest and a fan favorite character.
And it’s not a bad move. The Lost Legacy is a great Uncharted game, but that’s about it. I want to tell you all about how great the game is, but it’s not that simple, because whilst the game looks stunning, is a blast to play, and is a just damn near perfect Uncharted game, everything it got right is also what it got wrong.
The Lost Legacy is just another Nathan Drake game, but with females.
Now I don’t have a clue how you’d do it, but with a female character taking over a male dominated game series I was expecting Naughty Dog to come up with a whole new style of game. To come up with something unexpected.
So in short, zero points for originality, but once again Naughty Dog has delivered a crisp game that will keep all the fans happy. Well, most of them.
