So what do you get for 400 Microsoft Points when it comes to downloading new tracks for Forza 3? With the Nürburgring Grand Prix Circuit, you get two; the full circuit and the short circuit. For $6.60 it’s not too bad.
Of course to get any real use out of it, you’ll have to make sure all your mates download it as well so you can all go online and test your skills. And a test it will be, because the Nürburgring Grand Prix Circuit is one very technical track. Lots of hard corners with a few short straights thrown in, giving the driver who can out break everyone else the victory, and the driver who leaves breaking a fraction too late, disaster.
But to be honest, the first thing I noticed about this new location was how vividly green the grass was. of course, when I broke too late for the first corner, I soon stopped noticing the grass and played attention to the track.
If took me a couple of races to get used to the track, and then it dawned on me. This is my favourite track from GRID. It took me a while to figure this out, as it seemed way more technical and not as free flowing as GRID’s version, but then anyone whose played a few racing games will tell you that every game has a different take on the track.
So to wrap up, Nürburgring Grand Prix Circuit is well worth the 400 Microsoft Points. If you’ve raced it before in other games, be prepared for a challenge. If you’ve never raced this track before, pick a slow car.
