Just days out from Modern Warfare 2 hitting the shelves globally, the accountants at retailers have officially come back publicly with some very very happy faces on their dials.

According to Gamestop’s Tony Bartel (via UsaToday) was reported as saying “{that} As of today, the number of pre-order reservations we’ve taken for the game is the highest for any title we’ve ever sold in our 6,200 store network.”

The Executive Vice President for Merchandising and Marketing also commented, “By all indicators, we anticipate Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be the biggest entertainment launch of all time”.

Surprised?? Not really. Lets hope the game delivers.
