Set in the frozen margins of society, Wind River is a slow burn thriller that looks at life and death on a remote Indian Reservation. Jeremy Renner plays the role of a local wildlife officer, who in the course of his duty, discovers the body of a teenage girl in a remote area. Enter a wholly unprepared FBI agent (Elizabeth Olson) dressed for a cold Vegas night, not the frozen Wyoming landscape.
Together, with contrasting approaches, the two must work together to piece together how the girl got to that remote area and who killed her.
What follows is a slow and methodical build up to an intense showdown, that will have you perched on the edge of your seat.
Beautifully shot with some tightly guarded plot directions, Wind River may begin at a snails pace, but it will leave you reeling and thoroughly entertained.
