Wii’s infested with #Rabbids
It would be fair to say all of us at Gameguide are yet to be convinced the Wii is a console any of us would get into. HOWEVER a small video came across my desk from the just released “Rabbids go Home” which made my eyebrows rise and question my decision on the Wii.
If you have played any of the Rayman games you would have came across Rabbids on “Rayman Raving Rabbids”. It seems these wacky partying animals have become so popular Ubisoft have decided to give them their own game.
The game is based around the concept that these Rabbids have become bored with their Partying existence and want to go home. Since none of them hold enough smarts to realise they lived under ground, the group scheme to build a massive pile of rubbish to head to the moon… Cause thats where they live.
There appears to be plenty of oppourtunities for the script writters to bring some comedy to the story line, as these Rabbids attempt to reach home.
So how does it look?
GREAT.. and im serious.. The animation is very clean and stunning. The cut scenes and additional little features look great and retain a large amount of the original quality the animators intended.
So How Does it Play?
Well we havn’t got our hands on it yet, but the clip below on YouTube shows 10 minutes of game play from launch thru to playing. It looks stunning for a Wii and seems to play reasonably well. One thing i did notice was the number of cut scene interuptions, which possibly would become annoying.
At least this game brings one thing to the Wii… Good quality Family Gaming Fun… Well at least thats what it promises.
